Constellation: Lyra
All images below were shot with my old Vesta 675K SC1 camera (uncooled).
M57, The Ring Nebula in Lyra, August 8, 2002. A *much* better image than the April 5 version. The image is composed from 70 exposures, each 30 seconds. The image was captured in C8 prime focus (f/10). Summing and dark frame subtraction was done in Registax. Richardson-Lucy deconvolution in IRIS. Final colour adjustments in Photoshop. I had adjusted the mount to obtain perfect polar alignment, and minumal periodic error prior to shooting this image. | |
