Update 24. August 2006: Today, the International Astronomical Uniun (IAU) ruled that Pluto is no longer a planet. See the resolution text here. From today onwards, Pluto is a "dwarf planet" and is recognized as the prototype of a new category of trans-Neptunian objects.

I think this decision to demote Pluto is unproblematic. But it is fun to note that the image of Pluto shown below is an image if the planet Pluto, because at the time when I took the image, Pluto was officially a planet :-) So if you feel sorry about the IAU decision, you can always come back and see the planet pluto here :-)
