This is a very special image. It is a stereo image of Copernicus!! It is a so called anaglyphic image.
You need to view the image with a red filter covering the left eye, and a blue filter covering the right
eye. Then you will experience the height of the crater mountains!!
This image was made possible, because I discovered that Roger Hill of Toronto, Canada had imaged Copernicus with a C8 and a Vesta webcam on May 21, just like me!! Our large separation creates a parallax effect, allowing the stereo image to be constructed. The red component is my image, the blue component is his image. I am not aware of any amateur image like this. In fact, it may be a world #1. If you have any knowledge of this being done before, please contact me. | |||
