Sanyo Denki stepper motors
Type 103H448-0440

I originally received these motors as part of the Astromeccanica DA-1 LE kit, but after the DA-1 failed, I have later successfully modified them to suit a Boxdoerfer MTS-3SDI controller.

These pictures show the motors in the original configuration, where each motor case included a separate PCB and electronics. All of this was removed when adapting the Sanyo Denki stepper motors for the MTS-3SDI. Instead, the wires were soldered to a new DB9 connector as shown at the bottom of this page.

The Sanyo Denki 103H448-0440 is a unipolar stepper motor with 6 Ohm winding resistance. I modified the motors as hown below, and it worked very well. If you use this information, please do it at your own risk.
